# Record with the desktop app

Capture a meeting from your Mac without a bot in the call.

The desktop app records audio from your computer. It does not join the meeting as a participant.

1.  In the sidebar, choose **Download App** and download Reunia for macOS.
    
2.  Open the app and sign in. Sign-in continues in the browser. When it finishes, return to the app.
    
3.  Allow the permissions the app asks for. Each one has an Allow or Open Settings button.
    
4.  When a meeting is detected, choose **Start Recording**.
    

## Permissions

-   **Accessibility** finds the meeting and who is speaking.
    
-   **Microphone** records your voice.
    
-   **Screen recording** records the other people and the meeting video.
    
-   **Microsoft Teams** prepares Teams. Teams may restart once.
    
-   **Browser** prepares the browser for Google Meet. The browser may restart once.
    

You can also open the desktop recorder from Home: choose **New Meeting**, then **Record on desktop**.

After the recording is processed, it appears in **Meetings** with the source Desktop.
