# How Reunia captures a meeting

A bot can join the call, or the desktop app can record from your computer.

Reunia turns a meeting into a summary, notes, a transcript, and action items. There are two ways to capture it.

## Meeting bot

The bot joins Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams as a participant. Everyone on the call can see it. Use this for remote meetings that already have a link.

## Desktop app

The Mac app records from your computer. No bot joins the call. Use this for in-person meetings, or when you do not want a participant named Reunia in the room.

You pick a default during setup. For a single meeting that is already happening, you can also paste its link from Home. See **Add Reunia to a live meeting**.
